  • Project Cost: S$499 Million (Design and Build)
  • Appointed under Contractor Zublin AG, outsourced by Jacobs International
  • Four Slurry TBM & NATM Tunnels; Responsible for all the engineering and construction activities of contract T-07, Deep Tunnels sewer system for west Singapore
  • Provided technical and management support for Zublin to build 6 km of South tunnels (7.59m dia Slurry mix shield TBM –Herrenknecht) and 6km link sewers (5m dia) (in challenging SII-SV sedimentary rock ground conditions (Highly variable UCS), Jurong formation, fractured rock with substantial amount of water, overcome the challenges mining mixed ground, full face rock and Nanyang fault zones
  • The drives also consist of S-curve, mining underneath PIE & AYE expressways, flyover piers close as 3m, roads, POBs, close proximity to MRT viaduct and Buildings & various utility services
  • Successfully handled NATM Tunnels for launching TBM cavern (Up to 29m long), Connection bypass NATM tunnels between shafts, Aeration Chamber
  • Pipe jacking (3.6m Dia) connecting 3 shafts
  • Directed the TBM production, excavation management, operation, ground data and analysis telemetry & performance (TBM monitoring system used AEM, IRIS and STEMS) and Chairing tunnel meetings

  • To Feb 2019 Construction of Founders Memorial Station &Tunnels with Facility Building, Singapore, Project Cost: S$242 Million
  • Delivered 2 successful bored tunnel drives for East coast MRT line, (EPB CREG Machine), 3km long 6.67m diameter tunnels (Treated and Untreated marine clay, OA, Fluvial and mixed ground)(Mining in close proximity to residential buildings, utility services, roads and Benjamin Shearers flyover
  • Decanting of building, public premises for mining) Responsible for daily operation of TBM, excavation management system and analysis of telemetry (System used ENZAN) Supervision of construction of temporary structures, Safety inspections daily and Weekly basis

  • Delivered four Bored Tunnel Drives Launched from Tagore Shaft Both Direction to Springleaf and Lentor MRT Stations (Slurry TBM 6.67m Dia): mining in difficult ground conditions (Ranging from Bukit Timah Granite GI to GVI with overlaying boulders and fault zones) and full-face rock
