Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare generating unit activities to come on stream in accordance with real time dispatch schedule
• Respond appropriately to system defects, and rectify problems as required
• Carry out all Plant operating activities, including isolation, in line with operational guidelines
• Carry out all routine Plant tests and periodic auxiliary equipment changeover in accordance with approved procedures and schedules
• Schedule, act and document authorities for maintenance work as required
• Identify and report defective plant and equipment
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date and timely records of all key operational activities
• Closely monitoring the operational parameters in the DCS, carryout routine checklist, routine test and suggestion for improvements
• Take up the role of Authorized Person (AP) as per the PTW procedure
• Appointed as part of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT)
• Responsible of Cogen, Utilities and terminal operations.

• My responsibility was - Assist my Team Leader in process parameters - Assist the junior technician in their routine jobs
• My jobs routines were to handle DCS and monitor distillation process, extrusion process, usage of raw materials
• Receiving raw materials, unloading of ISO tanks are part of my job scope too.

• Having an experience of about 11 years in Teijin Polycarbonate Singapore as a Senior Process Technician, (Teijin Polycarbonate Singapore ceased operations in Singapore)
• For the first 2years I was in the Day Production team
• My job scope was to receive Chemicals such as Molten PTBP from ISO Truck and transfer it to the tank using a chemical hose
• In the 3rd year I was transferred to Shift and promoted to Senior Process Technician in the EXTRUSION Group
• Working closely with the team to perform any routine or maintenance job
• Operate DCS and provide training for OJT Technician
• Perform Safety Talk before every shift
• Stand in for Supervisory Roles in 2010
