- Oversee the daily port activity from Marine Safety Command Centre
- Assisting in investigation and preparing incident report for Marine Officers
- Enforcement of the Port Regulation, Harbour Craft Regulation, Pleasure Craft and other Maritime Acts in accordance with the Port waters of Singapore

- Oversee the construction of Spud Can which is an integral part of the Jack-Up rig and reporting key milestones to department manager (Hull Dept)
- Oversee and manage in-house contractor making sure work is done in accordance to the stipulated dateline
- Conduct safety briefing and risk assessment to contractors prior to commencing hot works
- Closely follow the arrival of steel materials from external vendor and keeping track of the quantity, quality and specifications before commencing the foundation work (Angle Bar, T-Bar, Steel Panel etc)
- Work alongside relevant Project Superintendent in charge of individual project pertaining to the assembly of Spud Cans
- Work alongside Shipwright Superintendent for lifting and assembly of Spud Cans and other steel structural integrity
- Work with NDT superintendent for testing of the steel panels and other steel structure to detect cracks and non-conformance steel integrity
- Work closely with Engineering drafter to ensure the specifications of construction drawings passed down is up to date and to anticipate for any changes made by owner representatives
- Attend steel structure testing with owner representative (Maersk, Ensco etc) surveyor to check the steel integrity prior to commencing the next stage of assembly
- Ensure contractors are working in line with all safety guidelines and monitor their daily activity for non-conformance and assess tidiness of working area
- Periodically assigned as department representative for safety walk-about
- In-Charge of Steel Panel shop during first year of employment (Keppel Fels)
- In-Charge of Spud Can assembly during second year of employment (Keppel Fels)
- Certified Ship Repair Manager accredited by ASMI (Association of Singapore Marine Industry).
