Part of the commissioning team for Singapore Linde Hydrogen production gas plant.

A green energy unit.
Unit assigned for commissioning and start up is the Gasification Unit.
On-going commissioning activities during shift.

Consist of sub-units,
-Gasifier system
-Thermal oil system
-Feed treatment
-Black water recovery system
-Filter press System

Field work and panel activities during start up.
Functional testing of all equipment and system.
Flushing of all new lines for commissioning preparation.

Air blowing for pipelines for the new unit

Leak test and pressure test for all system pipeline.

Troubleshooting for pre-commissioning activities,

Starting new pumps and monitoring pump performance.

Working along with engineers for procedure development for all system

Procedure review during system start up, edit and development of routine rounds logging.

Safety RA document development for all new system.

• Field process operator / operations at BPA plant
• Routine rounds during shift to identify or spot any abnormalities during shift
• Communicate closely with panel man for a better understanding of any adjustment in parameter
• Handover and takeover from other shift to discuss on job during shift
• To communicate for any abnormalities and any critical adjustment during shift
• To share any safety incident during shift to create awareness for incoming team
• Batch and continuous process plant, process field technician for 2 plants, BPA1 and BPA2
• Chemical required at to work at field: Acetone, phenol, BPA, HCL, Caustic, High pressure steam, Wastewater and high PH water
• Handles process reactor, towers, sump pit operations, pumps, strainers, ejector, blowers, crystallizer
• Daily task during shift: hose handling, purging of process streams, unplugging of process streams, troubleshooting of any upset during shift, strainer cleaning, prilling tower cone knocking
• Adhere to all supervisor’s instructions during shift, discuss any non-routine activities to be carry out for business needs
• To stop and ask question before proceeding to start job
• Standing by for all abnormalities, to maintain smooth operation during shift
• Sampling for chemical require for lab analysis
• Prepare pumps for maintenance, Apply LOTO and de-energization
• Ensure pump is free from any potential hazards and is purged before handing over to mechanical crew
• Work closely with teammate and being a team player
• To understand all safety measure and precautions before proceeding to do the task, to hold job and seek supervisor’s feedback and job understanding before doing non-routine jobs
• Undergoing panel training with senior to get myself ready for my panel verifications test.

• 6.5 years working in Exxon Mobil Chemical, Have experience working in two different process unit
• SEPTEMBER 2015 – SEPTEMBER 2016 Field Ops at UTILITIES plant Work in wastewater treatment unit
• To ensure wastewater that is being sent to the unit is filtrate and to remove suspended solids in it and store remaining effluent in tank before releasing it back to the sea with the optimum PH
• Sampling on all wastewater that is being store before releasing it to the storm drain (sea), any sampling result found to be off specification, we’ll be require to divert the waste water to the filtration unit for further process on cleaning of waste water
• This unit helps me to stay focus on getting my wastewater on specification to avoid any environmental issue before releasing it to the sea
• OCTOBER 2015- 2021 Field Ops at BUTYL plant
• Pioneer batch process technician for butyl plant Overseas work training at United Kingdom Exxon Mobil Butyl plant (Fawley) for 2 months to get ready for the very first butyl rubber plant in Singapore
• Work alongside Fawley’s Process Technician during shift to bring troubleshooting skill back to Singapore
• Line tracing verification test on control valve, types of pumps, type of reactor, equipment use in plant such as extruders, expanders, packaging machine, balers operations, vessels, storage tanks, compressors, trip logic system, safety interlocks and set values for process parameters
• Undergo test on understanding on safety components of chemical used for the plant
• Review safety data sheet for start-up preparations, develop JLA ( Job lost analyst) on routine jobs that needs to be carry out
• Pre-commissioning team for Singapore Butyl Plant during start up
• Check process line labelling, cleaning of new pipe lines after installation, line tracing on all equipment, walkdown with engineer to ensure equipment installed is as per PNID
• Develop procedure and safety expectation such as LPO for the technician in Singapore butyl plant to execute prior to start up the unit
• Assisting supervisor in commissioning all types of pump in the unit
• Troubleshoot on pump performance, control valve interlocks and housekeeping to maintain a safe environment to work in
• Qualified in 4 post, finishing extrusion post in SBP.Exchange knowledge with expat regarding butyl process
• Learning to see the types of problems that we’ll encounter along the way during start-up such as line plugging and malfunctions on equipment
• LOTO system and loto list verification before handing over to mechanical teams
• Permitting system, trained to issue cold work permit, hot work permit and OPE (Process break, flange cutting, process line cutting permit) Trained to do job pack for all technician to execute any mechanical work such as pump removal for servicing, tank leak and routine strainers changeout
• Had a safe start up and proud to be part of the commissioning team
• As a process technician, got me expose to many situations such as upset and troubleshooting during start up.

• Junior Field Operator at OSBL unit, A trainee in the operation team, Assisting team members for any plant upset, start up and shut down
• Working closely with panel man and senior technician to maintain a safe operation in plant Line tracing and plant operating procedure review, safety job analyst and discussion with the team to ensure any job require to be done safely
• Maintaining a safe plant status is number one priority, ensuring all process flow is working at the optimum flow, pressure, temperature and to attend to all work troubleshooting activities during shift
• Sampling on product to ensure all process parameter is set as per customer satisfactory
• Working closely with engineers to any process setbacks encounter during shift
• Routine rounds across the plant, checks on all pump discharge pressure, check steam pressure to all reboilers, check on all sight glass to ensure product process liquid colour is in specification and to update plant status to supervisor
• This first time experience working in a process plant helps me to get my confident to work alone and to troubleshoot any abnormalities during shift.
