Aviation has always been my interest since childhood, going to Changi airport admiring the aircrafts and the people that are working on the tarmac. I’ve always dreamed of wanting to work on a live aircraft and making sure that the aircraft is fit for flight and the passengers have a safe flight. My objective is to have a well recognized aviation diploma cert that would help me get employed in the aviation industry and earn a stable income while making my way up the position.

Component Repair Technician (V&D Inspector)

  • V&D Inspector for Large Component department (CFM56 Combustor)
  • To perform visual and dimension inspection on engine combustor such as inner liner, outer liner and dome.
  • Check and verify repair process on router and customer shop order to comply customer request.
  • Mark out defects on parts and transfer the findings into the data sheet to decide on a suitable repair to be carried out.
  • Maintain house keeping of cell.
  • Participated in a 1 week kaizen event to redesign logistics final part storage layout and workflow.

  • During my National Service, after completing my Basic Military Training, I was posted to Kranji Camp II, 41 SAR Armoured Infantry as a Trooper
  • Our job is to be in the front lines in war
  • As a Trooper, I also have to maintain the Bionix armoured vehicles
  • It was a new experience for me maintaining an armoured tank pumping grease into the vehicle’s wheels, washing equipment of the vehicle and cleaning the 40/50 cannon
  • My company was selected to go for an oversea bilateral exercise in India with the Indian Army
  • I learned about their culture and the way they fight in war
  • It was an experience that I will never forget
  • My battalion went to Australia for exercise wallaby
