Joseph Lee

I'm a polytechnic student studying Electrical Engineering, specializing in Rapid Transit Technology. Keen to learn more about the railway system, signalling system and the parts that constitute a train. Aspiration is to be a Train Captain, able to be part of the team that transports millions of commuters daily. Have been enjoying trains since young, always with a curiosity of how each component works, and how it works together as a huge system. I'm also a member of 'LTA's Friends of Land Transport', which have invitations to events that showcase hidden parts of the rail industry.

I'm also an individual who overcame the challenges of being autistic. From humble beginnings as a kid in a special needs school to being a normal, typical Polytechnic student today. Attained top 25% of cohort for O Level in 2021, that awarded the Certificate of Academic Achievement by Ministry of Education (MOE). That sparked a personal motivation to keep studying and getting closer to that dream. I'm a gentle and humble person, and always keen to work as a team.

To seek and maintain full-time position that offers professional challenges utilizing interpersonal skills, excellent time management and problem-solving skills. Organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.

I volunteered at a hydroponic farm from Grace Mission, from December 2021 till April 2022. I occasionally come back to help out during the school holidays cause its a meaningful way to spend my free time.

• Helped colleagues with special needs to feel safe and welcomed, as well as be a friend to them.

• Spot checked plant pots and water systems to ensure cleanliness, as well as assisting colleagues who had difficulty doing tasks assigned.

• Packaged and processed crops that are ready for commercial use.

• Ensured all processes are done on time, identified potential flaws in quality of harvest.

I'm a train enthusiast, and it involves documenting and snapping pictures and videos of trains. I like to focus more on the older train models, as they are approaching retirement.
