- I was tasked to work with Zweec Analytics and Matex to develop the market for a wastewater treatment system for dye wastewater, and also to study the requirements of the customers in the dye wastewater segment and to develop a plan to penetrate the market
- Actively involved in working with both companies as well as engaging the customers in Malaysia, Indonesia and China
- He led a pilot implementation with a factory in Malaysia
- The customer was very impressed with the system as well as my support and helped to refer to additional potential customers in Malaysia
- Led the design and planning for participation of a display for the system un the Singapore International Water Week and interfaced with potential customers
- At the same time, gathered customers’ requirements for a smart wastewater monitoring system in addition to the treatment system
- Driving the market information gathering for the Smart Wastewater Monitoring System and leading the writing of a proposal to kickstart the project
- The plan is to explore the business viability for this segment
- Both companies (Zweec and Matex) are committed to jointly spin off a JV
- Attended a workshop on financial projection conducted by Julien Dillon (Investment Director – Finance) from Emerald Technology Ventures where the participants were taught the expectations and requirements of a robust financial projection from the viewpoint of a VC
- The course also cover a ‘startup fast-track’ series of training and workshops co-organised by Ripple2Wave and Metrobiz to learn the basics of running a startup/business.
