Currently I am a Principal Physiotherapist and the inpatient and neuro team lead at Jurong Community Hospital (JCH), reporting directly to the Head of Department. I have 14 years experience and specialized in neurological rehabilitation across acute, community hospital and day rehabilitation care settings. I have been team lead for 7 years and inpatient lead for 5 years. I manage leave and manpower planning for my team and produce data on inpatient and DRC workload for my HOD. I conduct regular code blue training for Allied Health staff based at the community hospital and DRC. As a pioneer member of Jurong Health, I have been involved in the JCI workgroup to ensure our department conforms to hospital policy and JCI standards since we were based at Alexandra Hospital. I am the JCH physiotherapy representative as we move towards Ensure Safer Systems (ESS) and have been trained to complete the clinical tracer component. I am the first investigator for adverse events that occur in my department and have been involved in root cause analysis and serious reportable events analysis for the last 5 years. I have attended quality improvement training and advise different work groups based in the physiotherapy department on conducting quality improvement projects. Due to the constant changes in place due to COVID I was given the role of Safe Management Officer for Allied Health. This involved education and checking staff were following the latest guidelines.
