• Research topic: Design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of membrane-targeted antibacterial compounds.
• Research outcomes: Published 2 first-author papers in Journal of Medicinal Chemistry (including co–first author with supervisor) and 7 additional publications as co-author in collaborative projects. Co-inventor on two patents filed during PhD studies

During phD’s Program

• Participated in research projects funded by the National Research Foundation of Singapore
• Research topic: 1. Oligonucleotide Therapeutics with Built-in Elements for Cytosolic Delivery; 2. Synthesis of cyclic peptides through PAL-mediated cyclization at non-Asx residues; 3. Discovering New Target Space for the Development of Drugs Against Malaria Parasites; 4. Engineer Next-Generation Antibody-Drug Conjugates Using Orthogonal Bioconjugation Methods.
• Research outcomes: Publications: Listed as a co-author in a recently submitted paper. First-author work: Submitted a manuscript to Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS); after peer review, revision and resubmission are in progress. Ongoing work: Experimental data prepared for another manuscript in preparation. Patents: Listed as a co-inventor in a newly filed PCT patent application.
