  • Company Overview: Chye Thiam Maintenance is a local cleaning & maintenance company founded in 1976. For over 40 years, CTM continues in striving to be the leading choice for current and potential partners, tailoring to their needs.


Currently, my tasks at CTM includes but does not limit to the pointers below.


  • Daily Attendance. I am in-charge of checking and approving the staff's daily attendance, applying leaves and registering new staff into the clocking in system. I am required in ensuring that all attendance are correct and approved before the cut off date for payroll.
  • Onboarding & Resignation Procedure. When there are new staff coming onboard or current staff resigning, I would be the in-charge preparing the paperworks and sending the paperworks to our headquarters for their actions. As I am stationed at RWS Casino area, I would need to check for their individual NCPG before new staff are allowed to work inside the Casino. I would also need to apply for their temporary or permanent passes for them to be able to enter the Casino for work purposes, once they resign, I would be required to return their work pass to the Central Pass Office located in RWS.
  • Medical Claims. Through the month, I will be in-charge of collecting the medical bills from our staff to submit them to our headquarters to process their claims also to ensure that the claims are paid back to the employees alongside with their month's pay.


I started my employment with Chye Thiam Maintenance on 25th November 2024 and is currently still employed with them. The reason that I am opened in looking out for new opportunities is because I would personally like to enter a career with stability and continuous progression. As an administrative assistant, the progression route is rather stagnant and I could not go further than where I am currently.

  • Company Overview: Japan Foods Holding is a reputable company in the Food & Beverages industry. It was established in 1997 and as of current, they have over 20 brands under them and more than 50 outlets island-wide.


During my time under JFH, I have gained skills and experience as per the pointers below:

  • Meet tight deadlines. There were times where our Director makes the decision to change from an existing concept to a new one or to launch certain promotions within a tight timeframe, my team and I would have to ensure that the changes are made within the given schedule ranging between 2 weeks to 1 month.


  • Handling stressful situations. In order to be able to meet the deadlines set, I would have to liaise with different departments, both internally and externally, at the same time to ensure that the openings or promotion launch would be successful. Internal departments are departments such as the Marketing team for the collaterals needed as well as the IT team to assist in changing the TV or monitors present in the outlets. For external communications, it would be such as mall management, to inform and to gain the approval from them on the change of concept or on a certain launch of promotions. I would also be working closely with the ID contractor as well as the kitchen equipment suppliers to ensure that the 2D, 3D design and floor map are submitted to us and approved by our director before submitting it to the mall management for review. As each person in the Business Planning Team handles up to 10-15 outlets each, hence, being able to perform under stressful situation plays an important part as there may be changes made or promotions to be launched to more than 1 outlet at the same time.


  • Basic Data Reporting. During holiday period, promotional period or before any change of concept, I would be required to prepare simple excel showing the comparison between the profits between the months or years. This is to show if there are any increase or decrease in profits throughout the holiday or promotional period. A year by year comparison will be needed before any change of concept to compare the profits between the different brands, to better visualize and estimated the profit after change.


  • Customer Service. As a Business Planning Executive, I would also handle customer feedbacks through either phone calls or emails. It is important to ensure that our customers receive support or compensation for any concerns that they may have. This would also ensure that our existing customer would continue putting their trust in the company and supporting the brands.


  • Leasing. For outlets which are close to their lease end dates and would require new rental discussions, I would be the person in-charge to liaise with the mall management as well as to look through the tenancy agreement, ensuring that the details are correct before getting the signature from the director. I would be required to present a simple excel showing the total profits of the brand throughout the years from when the agreement starts till date as well as a rental comparison between the current and newly proposed rental for the director before agreeing to the proposed rent or counter proposing with a new rent.


Unfortunately, my tenure with Japan Foods Holding was cut short due to my decision of heading back to complete my diploma. After discussion with my then manager and director, we have came to a mutual agreement that it would be more beneficial to both parties if we part ways as at that point I was unable to confirm my school schedule.

Relief Lead

Universal Studio's Singapore

  • Company Overview: Universal Studios Singapore opened to public in 2011 and is Southeast Asia's first and only Universal Theme Park ever opened.


During my time with Universal Studios as an Attractions Relief Lead, I have gained skills and experiences such as the pointers below.


  • Customer Service. It is important to maintain a positive attitude and to perform service excellence to my best extent when facing guests from all around the globe. This is to ensure that the guests would have a pleasant experience which would leave a lasting impression on their visit.
  • Keen observation and alertness. As I am stationed in the attraction, operating them, it is important to always observe and be alert of our surrounding. To report any suspicious activity or any abnormalities that may cause safety concerns to the team members or the guests.
  • Training & Development. As a Lead in the attraction, I would be need the newly joined team members on the basic attraction and park knowledge. I would also be on constant look out for team members who are performing well to train them for different roles and responsibilities.
  • Daily manpower. Part of my lead duties would be to take care and report of the daily manpower. I would have to ensure that my attraction have enough manpower throughout daily operational period.
  • Team member welfare. It is important that as leads, that I look after my team members to the best of my extent and to ensure that they have a positive mindset to start the day and for them to carry out their duties to their due diligence.


After 5 years with Universal Studios, I have decided to part ways with the team to pursue my full-time career progression.

  • Company Overview: Adecco Pte Ltd is an outsourcing company in Singapore. The company has partners such as Amazon, Shopee, DHL. etc, assisting their partners in sourcing out for potential candidates and to go through the hiring process with the candidate.


During my time with Adecco, I was stationed under Amazon and has learned and gain experience as per below.


  • Daily Scheduling/Rostering. During my shifts, I would be required take daily attendance and distribute the staffs work stations for the day. I would also be required to plan and update the manpower for the next day as well as to confirm the headcount for the next day.
  • Daily reporting. At the end of my shift, I would need to do update an excel file regarding attendance and for all employees current employment status. These reports will be sent to the Adecco Headquarters as well as to the client, Amazon.
  • React swiftly. As I am stationed inside Amazon Fresh, I would need to ensure that all the orders from the customers are out for delivery punctually and I would have to swiftly solve the situations in cases where the orders are delayed. There may also be times where I would have to attend to emergency calls on site, such as medical or theft cases, I would need to react swiftly to the case to tend to the staff as soon as possible.
  • Recruitment. I would often be assisting the HR team in sourcing for suitable candidates and to set-up interview dates with the candidates. For the interview process, it includes one via phone call and one in person interview, I would be handling the phone call interview.


After 1 year with Adecco & Amazon, I have decided to part ways with the company.
