Guest Relations
Took a 6-month internship after graduating from SJI Intl with an IB certificate.
I was attached to the Guest Relations Department.
The job involved receiving hotel guests and visitors and providing assistance to make their experience at the hotel a smooth and memorable one. We would assist in tasks such as escorting guests to check in and fulfilling requests and enquiries. We were encouraged to bring a certain level of personal touch with hand written notes or small gifts of appreciation. I also assisted with in-room check-in for high profile guests of the hotel including celebrities.
Attended an initial training period for new joiners to understand the service culture of the Ritz Carlton and sessions on grooming and personal presentation.
