I have been in the Early Childhood Industry for 12 years. In these years, I have experience in taking all class levels and am equipped with classroom management skills and strategies. I am a team player and am confident in working and leading teachers to attain organisational goals. I am committed in contributing to the Early Childhood industry and passionate about building bright futures for our younger generations.
I first joined my current centre as a L2 English teacher back in December 2017. I taught K1 level in 2018 and K2 in 2019. For two years consecutively, I spearheaded the refreshed curriculum for K1 and K2 levels released by our organisation. I was then promoted progressively from an ED3 to ED6 in the span of three years from 2018 to 2020. in my teaching grade. I supported my centre leader in the preparation of SPARKS assessment. I helped my centre leader in consolidating documentations for centre events (parental involvement to community involvement) from the teachers, ensuring that all lesson plans and evaluations were up to date and to tidy up meeting minutes required for SPARKS.
I officially took on the Lead Teacher role (Senior Preschool Teacher) in 2020. As a Lead Teacher in 2020, I was taking the K2 class level and leading the 0 to 3 years old team of teachers concurrently. My role includes mentoring of new staff, conducting section meetings to align centre's operational matters and curriculum matters monthly.
In year 2022, I was promoted to Assistant Deputy Centre Lead. I take on duties of both a vice-principal and a class teacher of Playgroup on a daily basis, fulfilling half a day in class and the other half in the office. As such, I have learnt from my centre leader on various operational aspects as follows:

One additional role I had while I was working here was being a translator for my centre leader who is a non-Chinese as I am a local bilingual English teacher and the centre had mostly Chinese teachers from China. I assisted my centre leader in her meetings by translating information and explaining to the Chinese teachers. I also assisted her in her teachers' appraisals sessions by providing translation services.
