As a centre principal, I ensure the smooth daily operations of the
centre
Communicating with parents is essential to foster positive
relationship with them
I believe as a centre principal, I am not only
the backbone of my team but also the frontliner for them when they
require assistance
In addition, below are some matters I have
orchestrated with my team:
- Mentor and supervise new and current teachers to ensure that
they are performing to the company standard
Conduct classroom observation termly
Orchestrate events such as field trips, graduation day,
teachers’ trainings, family day, flea market/ open house etc

relayed centre messages in an appropriate manner
I also took
charge in Halloween event by making a haunted house corner for

I did not have the chance to fully take up the role as

not ready, hence it was inconvenient to travel and I had to be at
the centre by 7.30am daily

roster bi weekly and generated monthly reports
I would double up
duties whenever there was a shortage of staff
Being a Preschool
Teacher, I had to ensure that the WAP, evaluations and OWIS were
updated regularly
Pictures of children’s activities were to be in the
parents’ portal on regular basis, if not weekly
The children’s portfolio
was done 2 times annually
Other preschool teacher’s responsibilities were like any other
childcare centres

However, at the last minute, my sister informed me that she
could not pay me and asked me to work else

Plans and Curriculum, taking charge of school equipment and
materials, mentoring any intern orattachment students, double up
duties when there is a shortage ofmanpower
