Maternal & Infant Care

• Assist with routine monitoring of pregnant and postpartum patients, including vital signs and fetal heart rate assessments.
• Support new mothers with breastfeeding, newborn care, and postnatal hygiene.
• Observe and report changes in maternal or infant conditions to the supervising nurse or midwife.

Clinical Assistance & Procedures

• Assist in preparing patients for labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Help with basic procedures such as perineal care, fundal checks, and wound care for cesarean section patients.
• Support the nursing team in monitoring pain levels and assisting with medication administration under supervision.
• Ensure proper documentation of maternal and infant care activities.

Learning & Development

Patient Care & Post-Operative Support

• Assist in monitoring vital signs and post-surgical assessments.
• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions, such as signs of infection or complications.
• Help with pain management by ensuring timely medication administration under supervision.
• Support patients with mobility, wound care, and personal hygiene.

Clinical Assistance & Procedures

• Assist in dressing changes, drain management, and catheter care.
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments for minor procedures.
• Support pre-operative and post-operative patient education.
• Ensure accurate documentation of nursing interventions and patient progress.

Learning & Development

• Work closely with nurses, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to understand surgical nursing care.
• Develop proficiency in using medical equipment and electronic health records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection control measures, and safety protocols.
• Attend clinical training sessions and apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
• Supported staff members in their daily tasks, reducing workload burden and allowing for increased focus on higher-priority assignments.

Patient Care & Support

• Assist in monitoring patients’ vital signs
• Help patients with daily activities, including hygiene, mobility, and meals.

Clinical Assistance
