Dynamic and dependable intern at Special Olympics Asia Pacific, recognized for exceptional teamwork and a positive attitude. Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail while contributing to successful event preparations. Excelled in data management and research, showcasing adaptability and effective communication in a collaborative environment. I am an Autistic Spectrum Disorder person with Speech and Language Disabilities which is why I was exempted from Mother Tongue throughout my student life. Despite this, I have completed Singapore Mainstream School System especially University and other future endeavours and am looking for a job. I even have friends who have graduated from the same secondary school but different Universities and are working in their respective companies. One of them is working in the aged society and the other is working in another company. My fundamental strength is my perseverance. I have overcome situations which others perceived as too difficult again and again and I have surprised my family right from Kindergarten, constantly proving everyone wrong. I have received many awards from MOE. When I wanted to do NS, the doctor was willing to exempt me from NS but was impressed with my keenness to and allowed me on a trial basis for 1 month. I adapted well in NS and completed on 4 Apr 2021 successfully. At every stage, I keep on trying till I succeed.
I interned at Special Olympics Asia Pacific from 8 May 2023 to 30 June 2023. I helped my team with the tasks such as research on various countries, keying in data in Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft Word. I even helped them set up for the main SOAP event on 18 May 2023 at Cineleisure Orchard. My colleagues even invited me for the dinner event around 25 to 26 May 2023 at a Beer Restaurant at Jalan Besar for all the hardwork we did at the event the previous week. In fact, they even celebrated my English birthday at their office on 7 June 2023 and I was very happy. I helped them almost all of the time and brought great energy to the team who were very happy with my work and the spirit that I had to cope in a work/office environment. The team also invited me back for me to say a proper farewell and I really admired it. Last year, however, I was again invited back and it was really kind of the team to do such a thing. I will never forget such an amazing experience I had at SOAP.
