• Calculating and issuing freight, deviation and interim ports, reimbursement claims as well as demurrage claims including negotiating and settling demurrage claims.
• Liaising with the team following the schedule of the vessels, checking time bars or recaps and ensuring that claims are settled.
• Stowage and voyage planning to meet safety criteria, international/domestic regulations, chemical requirements, charterer’s requirements and economic efficiency.
• Handling of BL’s i.e. issuance and collection of BL to obtain LOI for charterer/broker through commercial channels.
• Manage the filing of the vessel’s documents i.e. NOR, cargo operations log and timesheet , protest letter etc.
• Liaise with financial department to issue freight invoices with supporting documents.
Handling operations for voyage & time chartered vessels
• Responsible for operations of all time chartered vessel's (Capesize & Supramax bulk carriers) including maintaining the statement of accounts for hire payment.
• Developed charterer's general instructions for Time Chartered vessels including reporting requirements.
• Analyse Charter parties and draw up detailed Vessel Voyage Instructions .
• Cargo intake planning / agency appointments / weather routing service appointments / frequent contact with Master / Owners / shippers / receivers .
• Check Bills of Lading / Letters of Indemnity.
Raising Initial Freight Invoices once the vessel completes loading.
• Laytime/demurrage calculations with charterers/owners within the specified time period.
• Raising of the Final Freight Invoices one the laytime calculations are completed/settled
• Negotiating/Settling of laytime calculations at the earliest.
• Ensure timely payments to Owners and agents and follow up the same.
Ensure Delivery/redelivery notices sent to Owners/Charterers as per Charter Party.
• Ensure payments received from charterers and follow up the same
• Arranging Rightship, MER Solution and other inspections of time-chartered vessels.
• Handling of commercial shipping operations for all GFG group fixtures.
