Logistics & Warehouse Experience

Scope of Work / Responsibilities


.1. Vehicle Operations & Assignments

  • Daily vehicle work assignments (delivery, pickup, ad-hoc duties).
  • Vehicle types: Crane Lorry, Self-Loader, Tipper, Hook Lift, 10ft / 14ft / 15ft / 24ft Lorry, Container Lorry, Mini Bus, Trailer, TMA.
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of the above vehicles.
  • Coordination of LTA vehicle inspections (STA, Vicom, JIC).
  • Experienced in OneMotoring processes, including: road tax renewal, PARF/COE, COE renewal, vehicle transfer, lay-up, registration/de-registration, traffic offences and appeals, VPC applications/renewals.
  • Handling insurance matters with authorized workshops, insurance companies, and brokers (Great Eastern, AWG, Time Insurance, Allianz, China Taiping, India International, Liberty, etc.).


2. LTA Vehicle Modifications & Compliance

  • Speed limiter installation and certification.
  • On-Board Unit (OBU) installation for ERP/road usage compliance.
  • Vehicle modifications and approvals from LTA (e.g., canopy, attachments).
  • Liaising with authorized workshops for modification works and ensuring LTA log card updates.


3. Vehicle & Machinery Maintenance

  • Manage internal and external workshop repairs and servicing (ST Engineering, Gold Auto, N51, Gold Bell, Steelcore Engineering, Jin Quan, A-Tec, Ah Keng Motors, NLT Workshop, Triangle Auto, Sun Pacific, Meng Meng Machinery, MAN, C&C, Tesla, Toyota, DFSK, Scania, etc.).
  • Coordinate spare parts, tyre retreading, mechanical, and welding works.
  • Liaise with workshops and contractors for specialized repair works.
  • Negotiate service contracts and monitor vendor performance for cost-effectiveness.


4. Accidents & Claims

  • Handle vehicle accidents and claims with workshops, insurers, and brokers.
  • Prepare and submit GIA reports, police statements, and private settlements.
  • Liaise with third parties and their insurance agents to resolve claims.


5. Machinery Compliance & Safety

  • Manage MOM PE inspection arrangements for: Lifting Machinery (LM), Lifting Gear (LG), Lifting Platform (LP), Air Receivers.
  • Machinery covered: Excavators, Bobcats, Overhead Cranes, Forklifts, Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Compressors.
  • Internal workshop management for repairs, inspections, and compliance.


6. Logistics & Project Support

  • Goods delivery, collection, packing, quality checks, returns, shipments, and waste scrap arrangements.
  • Container loading/unloading, rental lorry contracts, and trailer arrangements for heavy material shipment.
  • Fuel orders (diesel, petrol) and monitoring, including petrol card administration.


7. Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Daily, weekly, monthly stock reporting, monitoring, and annual reporting to management.
  • Store and warehouse inventory management.
  • Oversight of workers, foremen, and supervisors’ work schedules, attendance, leave, renewals, and safety compliance.
  • Monitoring overtime and training/course schedules.


8. Planning & Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal departments on projects.
  • Monitor cost control and project-related expenses.
  • Ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Meet customer requirements and delivery timelines.


9. Regulatory & Compliance Management

  • Ensure compliance with MOM, LTA, NEA, SCDF, and WSH regulations.
  • Maintain updated certifications (MOM permits, lifting licenses, Safe Work Procedures, risk assessments).
  • Manage environmental compliance (waste oil, batteries, scrap disposal through licensed vendors).


10. Fuel & Cost Management

  • Monitor diesel and petrol consumption; manage fuel card allocation (SPC, Esso, Shell).
  • Track mileage, fuel efficiency, and conduct cost analysis for savings.
  • Manage contracts with fuel suppliers and negotiate bulk pricing.


11. Warehouse & Logistics Support

  • Oversee loading/unloading, packing, shipment arrangement, and storage of goods.
  • Manage waste scrap disposal and recycling arrangements.
  • Plan and arrange trailers and heavy transport for oversized cargo.
  • Coordinate with project teams for timely material deliveries.


12. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle and machinery reports (utilization, downtime, repairs).
  • Prepare annual reports for management review.
  • Keep accurate documentation of accidents, claims, service records, and inspections.


13. People Management

  • Supervise drivers, mechanics, warehouse staff, and supervisors.
  • Monitor attendance, leave, training courses, renewals, and OT control.
  • Ensure driver safety compliance (Defensive Driving, WSQ certifications).
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.


14. Technology & Systems

  • Familiar with fleet management software / GPS tracking systems.
  • Manage ERP/OBU transactions and system reports.
  • Implement digital solutions to improve tracking of repairs, claims, and fuel usage.
