Tricia Yau

Summary

I am a detailed-oriented team player with strong time management skills. I am able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy. Being a high performance student athlete, I had to juggle my school as well as sporting commitments. The heavy workload and high commitment level did not affect my performance in either aspect as I am a passionate and hardworking person who always strives for the best. I am also mathematically inclined, with mathematics being my best scoring subject throughout my academic years. I was able to consistently maintain an A for mathematics for all 12 schooling years. As such, I would like to pursue a career that is mathematics related as mathematics is something that interests me very much.

Work History

Volunteer

I participated in numerous VIA projects that partnered with several committees aimed to uplift the disadvantaged in Singapore.

1. Project Clover

- Project Clover is a student initiated project partnered with Riverlife Community Services that aims to help children from low income families by providing opportunities for students to share their studying techniques and tutor primary school children. As a participant, I, together with my team members, came up with notes and planned interesting and enriching lessons to engage the children. Topics such as mathematics and even the history of sporting events were taught.

2. Project Vitamindz

- Project Vitamindz is a student initiated project that aims to uplift the lives of under-privileged primary school students through interactive enrichment lessons and academic tutoring. I assisted in the detailed planning of each lesson, doing research to supplement the ideas and explanations such that each topic is explained in a way that primary school students would be able to understand easily.
