Thomas Goh

As an IB student, I have developed strong research and presentation skills, honed through the numerous theses required for each subject. These experiences have enabled me to organize and communicate complex ideas effectively. Another key strength is my ability to think creatively and produce original work. This was exemplified in my Extended Essay, where I explored how the artist The Weeknd challenges toxic masculinity in his songs through the lens of confessional poetry—an area with little prior research.

In addition, my leadership roles have enhanced my interpersonal and management abilities. As a Peer Support Facilitator and Leader, I coordinated Secondary 1 orientation camps and guided students in adapting to a new environment. Serving as the President of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul further refined my organizational and communication skills, as I worked with external organizations like Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital to plan large-scale initiatives such as donation drives and community events. These experiences have equipped me with a diverse skill set to excel in collaborative and leadership environments.
