I was issued a problem statement to make an alarm circuit for farmers to keep their tools safe and finish it in 32 days. For this I made a circuit simulation to make a test circuit and i took readings from the simulation so that i have something to compare to when i build the circuit. After taking all the readings from simulation I started to make my circuit with the components I have and I do my tests on the circuit and compare it to the simulation results. I did a report on all my findings and I put all the improvements i could add to the system in the future.
My team and I was given 3 weeks to make a prototype of something that would help solve one of the UNSDGs. My team chose Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) as the focus for our project and then we brainstorm for ideas. Our solution is a machine that can help keep track of each plant growth in a hydroponic farm by going vertically and checking the climate for each level. My team and I made a prototype based on that idea, I did the 3d modelling and laser cutting for the components and help my team with assembling the prototype.
My team and I was given collected data about food insecurity in Singapore and asked to showcase it. We used Power BI to make pie charts, graphs and heatmaps based on the data given and we arranged them to convince our lecturer about where food insecurity is severe at and what we can do to reduce the severity.
Me and my partner used Arduino IDE to code an arduino to be a control panel for a mock smart house. The arduino is able to control the air conditioner and the light in the house, display the temperature and humidity in the house, unlock the lock when the correct password is pressed and sound the alarm when the password is pressed wrongly after 3 times.
I worked with students from RMUTL to find a way to increase awareness of HPV protection among females in Singapore who are aged 27-45 year old and has low income. We went to Bedok to interview some of the residents there to collect some info and we also went to SATA and MSD to learn about HPV protection. After learning we made a prototype of a solution and then we showcased it to some industry experts for comments on it.
