Summary

From an early age, I aspired to pursue my ambitions in a global environment. This goal took shape when my father’s overseas assignment led our family to Slovakia, where I spent seven formative years of my elementary education. Experiencing an open European education system fostered my independent thinking and enabled me to become fluent in English.

After returning to South Korea for secondary education, I struggled to adapt to a highly standardized academic system. During this period, design emerged as my primary interest. I was drawn to design not only for its visual aspects, but for its emphasis on functionality, intuitive communication, and problem-solving.

To pursue this interest internationally, I enrolled in the Graphic Communication program at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore. The program integrated design with market analysis and strategic thinking, allowing me to view design as a structured tool for communication and solution development.

After graduation, I joined Hyundai Marine Solution Singapore as a Key Account Manager in the Strategic Sales Team. In this role, I manage international clients and long-term contracts, conducting negotiations primarily in English. Working in a small team, I assumed significant responsibility early on and independently reviewed past and ongoing contracts.

Through repeated contract analysis and a complex client negotiation, I developed a strong interest in contracts as legal mechanisms that protect mutual corporate interests. I came to recognize that effective business operations depend on legal clarity and enforceability, which motivated my decision to pursue formal legal education.

With an interdisciplinary background in design, marketing, and global sales, I seek to study law to bridge business practice and legal structure. I am confident that this perspective will allow me to approach legal studies with both analytical rigor and practical insight.
