I am a registered nurse with a decade of clinical experience, working primarily in a medical intensive care unit (ICU) in Singapore. I am very passionate about critical care nursing and nursing research. I led a research as a Principal Investigator; 'Nurses’ Perception and Satisfaction Level of Nurse-Led Urinary Catheter Removal Protocol in ICUs' under the Singapore General Hospital Nursing Research Immersion Program. Research abstract were accepted to the SingHealth International Nursing Conference (August 2021), SingHealth DUKE-NUS Scientific Congress (September 2021), Singapore Healthcare Management (August 2022) and Singapore Annual Scientific Meeting (October 2022).
I also value the possibility to develop through humanitarian aid missions, peacekeeping and poverty alleviation projects. In 2018 July, I volunteered with DocMobile – Medical Help e.V, a German international medical NGO for a month in a Syrian Refugee camp in Athens, Greece. The main aim is focused on bringing free medical care to Syrian refugees that are stranded and have no access to healthcare. Between 2021 to 2022, I volunteered with a startup under the Singapore General Hospital Population Health and Integrated Office (PHICO) to serve our local elderly community to provide collaborative care. Over a span of 1 year, we were worked with community nurses and student volunteers to team up and made home visits who were at risk oh health and social vulnerabilities. We built meaningful relationships with fellow seniors by empowering them to take ownership of their health and wellbeing.
