I am a second-year student at Republic Polytechnic pursuing a Diploma in Biomedical Science, majoring in Biomedical Research. I aspire to become a doctor, with a particular interest in neurosurgery, and I am seeking opportunities for clinical exposure to better understand patient care and medical practice. I have experience as a clinic assistant, supporting healthcare staff with administrative tasks, patient interaction, and dispensing medications under supervision. Additionally, I have coordinated volunteer projects for seniors and underprivileged children, strengthening my leadership and communication skills while reinforcing my commitment to medicine and service.
During my time as a clinic assistant at Central 24-hour Clinic, I was actively involved in both administrative and patient facing responsibilities. I assisted with patient registration, appointment scheduling, and the organization of medical records, ensuring that all information was handled with accuracy and confidentiality. In addition, I prepared consultation rooms ahead of visits and supported the healthcare team in maintaining smooth clinic operations. A key part of my role included preparing and dispensing prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of licensed staff, while carefully following protocols to ensure safety and compliance. I also guided patients through basic procedures, explained instructions related to their medications, and directed them to the appropriate services when needed. This experience allowed me to develop strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a deeper understanding of patient care and the importance of precision in clinical practice
