With 30 years of experience in primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare organizations and community care in both public and private sectors, I am passionate in caring for persons in the community with special dedication in providing supportive, innovative, rehabilitative and engaging services to enhance the lives of seniors and persons with mental health and their caregivers.

I am known by my former bosses to be an encouraging manager and analytical problem-solver with talents for team building, leading and motivating, as well as excellent customer relations aptitude and relationship-building skills. • 10/01/97, Senior Staff Nurse, Department of Rehabilitation Psychiatry Inpatient Unit, Institute of Mental Health, Woodbridge Hospital. Was student volunteer at Singapore Anglican Welfare Council’s Elliot Road Care Centre.
• 04/01/00, Joined Singapore Anglican Welfare Council (now SACS) as Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counsellor due to my interest to develop psychiatric rehabilitation Programs to support persons with mental health issues in Singapore. Sponsored by SACS to Boston for psychosocial rehabilitation training and thereafter involved in a mental health startup: assisted Executive Director to set up Hougang Care Centre as Singapore’s first psychiatric residential rehabilitation program and saw to the day-to-day operations of the facility. MOH’s ILTC approved the decantment of 150 long-stay psychiatric patients from View Road Hospital as Hougang Care Centre’s first residents. Reports to Executive Director of Hougang Care Centre. (currently known as Anglican Care Centre, Hougang)
• 07/01/02, Promoted to Medical and Clinical Services Manager, Hougang Care Centre to oversee the clinical and safety aspects of program operations. Was also later involved in the set-up of CRSS Bukit Batok, now known as Anglican Care Centre Bukit Batok.
• 08/01/08, With a desire to update my clinical skills, I joined National Healthcare Polyclinics as Nurse Clinician and trained as Diabetic Nurse Educator.
• 06/01/09, Recommended for career advancement as Trainee Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) by Nursing Director. Awarded NHGP scholarship for Masters degree in Nursing at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS for APN program.
• 07/01/09, APN internship attachment at Bukit Batok Polyclinic running chronic disease management clinics, reporting to Head of Bukit Batok Polyclinic, Dr Keith Tsou.
• 02/01/12, Recommended by Singapore Anglican Community Services Group CEO Dr Arthur Chern and Executive Director Dr Sally Thio to take up free-lance consultant role: Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services Consultant to St Andrew’s Community Hospital to prepare for the pre-operative set up of Singapore’s first community psychiatric nursing home with a focus in the area of psychiatric rehabilitation services. (Later named 'St Andrew's Nursing Home', was officially opened in November 2013)
• 02/01/13, Employed as Clinician & Clinical Program Coordinator, LIFE Centre, Singapore General Hospital. Reports to Director LIFE Centre, SGH.
• 08/01/17, Contacted by former employer Dr Sally Thio (former Executive Director of Hougang Care Centre), and invited to join Caregivers Alliance as Senior Rehabilitation Counsellor.
• 08/01/18, Promoted to Head, Integrated Health Cluster (CREST TEAM) overseeing program operations in the West region. (Official title: Head, West Cluster) Assisted with developing Caregivers Training for Dementia Caregivers which was rolled out nationwide as one of Caregivers Alliance’s signature programs. I was featured in AIC’s 'Ask The Expert' video series with a focus on the Dementia caregiving role.
• 03/01/21, Joined Allium Care Suites as Manager of Dementia Day Program (Allium Care Studio). Left the position in November 2024 due to company restructuring.
