I have a deep interest in clinical research and innovation. I aspire to be a leading interdisciplinary health professional in clinical science, technology, and innovation.
Currently, I am a Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse at Changi General Hospital and am pursuing a Master's in Translational Medicine at Duke-NUS.
I have experience in conducting Quality Improvement Projects, Systematic Reviews, and Data Analysis.
As a Surgical Intensive Care Unit Nurse, I manage high-acuity pre-operative and post-operative patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring and mechanical ventilation. These patients are surgically managed by general surgery, neurosurgery, eye-nose-throat, and ophthalmology surgery teams. They are co-managed by Anesthesia Intensivists and Cardiology intensivists.
I have experience in Quality Improvement projects, namely "Reducing Intra-Arterial Line dislodgements among agitated ICU patients", as well as Nursing Council activities: (1) Making a speech on "VUCA in healthcare", (2) Debate on Pressure Injury Management. Additionally, I have championed Nursing volunteer activities, such as Health Counseling for Tampines residents organized by CGH Eastern Community Health Outreach (ECHO).
