OPFOR, which stands for Opposing Force, is a term used to describe a military unit or group that is specifically designated to simulate the tactics, strategies, and capabilities of an adversary during military training exercises.
OPFOR unit's primary objective is to provide a realistic and challenging opposition for friendly forces, allowing them to train and improve their skills in a simulated combat environment.
We are often composed of highly skilled personnel who study and replicate the tactics and equipment of potential adversaries
By accurately emulating the behavior and capabilities of opposing forces, OPFOR unit plays a crucial role in enhancing the readiness and effectiveness of military units, ensuring they are prepared for a range of real-world scenarios.
As a Sparring Partner for the Singapore Armed Forces, it is an intensive and rigorous process designed to prepare individuals for the challenges and demands of serving in the armed forces. It encompasses a wide range of physical, mental, and technical skills that are essential for servicemens.
Through a combination of physical fitness exercises, combat drills, weapon handling, tactical simulations, and precise instruction, it is important that we are shaped into disciplined and highly skilled soldier.
OPFOR training instills values such as teamwork, leadership, resilience, and adaptability, as well as a deep sense of duty and commitment to the mission but most importantly safety.
It also focuses on developing critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to make split-second decisions under pressure.
