Switching from the teaching track to leadership track in 2017 has created breath of experiences for me to lead the department effectively. As an ST, I developed strong mentoring skills to identify and leverage teachers' strengths and develop staff to meet their potential. As a HOD, I am able to recognise gaps that require re-structuring of positions that match teacher's strengths and interests with the relevant job scope, reviewing processes and teaching materials for improvements as well as promoting lifelong learning with the inclusion of new technology to improve teaching and learning. I am a passionate educator and have stayed in the school for 19 years to be in service of others and fulfill the school's needs.
I am also an enthusiastic team member who is eager to contribute to team success through hard work, paying attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Motivated to learn, grow and excel in a new environment, I am able to adapt and learn as well as am a passionate and positive individual who is willing to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.
