  • Details and types of structural works supervised and degree of responsibilities in each project
  • 1) SDK Consortium (11-09-2019 to 14-05-2023)
  • Proposed development of 6 blocks of 7-storey Health Campus comprising acute hospital, Specialist Outpatient Clinics, Community hospital, nursing home and 4 basement levels with 2 levels for car parking at Woodlands drive 17 Singapore.
  • Excavation, backfilling
  • Solely in charge of backfilling of more than 10,000 m3 of LSS and G20 concrete.
  • Monitoring excavation and slope stability as Woodlands Health Campus is a top-down construction project.
  • Raft foundation work sequence
  • Preparing ground for lean concrete dewatering ground surface. Subsequent laying lean concrete-based surveyor level.
  • Supervision for hacking of SB piles for starter bars after laying of lean concrete.
  • Supervise application of waterproofing membrane and arranging inspections with RTO.
  • Grouting of pile head for raft foundation.
  • Adhering to rebar details for raft foundation. After completion of bottom rebar installation, arranging for RTO inspection.
  • Welding of rebar to kingpost followed by MPI test inspected by RTO.
  • Connecting bottom rebar with SBP pile. For any missing starter bar, arrange for drilling of rebar by chipping of 50mm of SBP top surface so that rebar is exposed.
  • Planting of rebar based on rebar depth specification highlighted in design requirement. Checking of planting depth with RTO before using approved material for rebar planting.
  • Arranging for pullout test under RTO supervision.
  • Rectifying RTO comments before top rebar inspection.
  • Installation of additional rebar, starter bars for column, beam, core wall, staircase, ramp, plinth, skin wall and retaining wall.
  • Arranging for Carpentry works for drops and sump pit.
  • Arranging cleaning of rebar using water and air compressor.
  • Ensuring documentations such as COS, M&E clearance and other necessary documents are available prior to casting.
  • Arrange final inspection prior to casting. Casting is based on concrete grade specified in drawing.
  • Waterproofing high-grade concrete is used for raft foundation. Slump consistency and concrete quality are essential and are monitored and reported to on a regular basis during casting.
  • Concrete is cast based on approved CJ. Poker vibrator is used to vibrate concrete to obtain smooth finish, avoid honey combs and to get high strength for structure.
  • After completion of casting, curing compound application is necessary to facilitate curing.
  • Vertical Elements Construction
  • For vertical elements such as column, core wall and staircase wall, CJ is roughened. Surveyor marking is essential for accuracy and then inspected by RTO.
  • Rebar works are carried out for vertical elements in accordance to approved drawing. Trimmer bars are installed for openings. For columns, center line is marked and rebar are tied based on surveyor marking.
  • After rebar inspection, the vertical structure formwork is permitted to close.
  • After formwork is closed, cover and vertical accuracy are checked by RTO. COS, checklist and M&E clearance are attached as part of the documentation.
  • Casting is then carried out to approved level with specified high-grade concrete.
  • Slab Construction
  • Casting of slab includes marking of CJ level. Column and structural wall CJ are roughened.
  • Slab form work is based on approved CJ plan. Bottom bars are laid based on CJ location. M&E openings and floor openings are marked and trimmer bars are allowed for. Pipe sleeves are checked against Concrete Body Plan (CBP).
  • Once bottom bar lying is completed, RTO inspection is arranged. Once completed and all comments are rectified, top bar is laid.
  • After laying of top bars, additional bars, starter bars for column walls, plinth are provided. Levelling pegs are installed based on surveyor level marking.
  • Arranging final inspection and ensuring all documents such as M&E clearance, Architecture clearance, checklist and COS are available prior to casting.
  • Construction of nonstructural wall, plinth is supervised
  • Circular ramp, linear ramp construction is supervised.
  • Precast elements
  • Installation of Precast elements like column wall beam is proceeded with checking of survey level, CJ roughening, checking of shop drawing of precast element. Starter bar of precast element should be verified. The starter bar from the slab should be cleaned before installation.
  • After installation grouting tubes are grouted with Non-Shrink Grouting Cement as per approved MOS. Grouting is monitored by RTO and all are recorded for documents
  • Grouting of column head wall head are supervised.
  • Post tension
  • Post tensioned beams, Slabs are monitored and followed in site as per approved drawing.
  • Tendons are laid based on approved shop drawing measurements. Tendon heads are checked additional rebar are laid. Then proceeded for casting with high grade concrete.
  • After obtaining calculated concrete grade strength stressing is proceeded. Stressing of tendons are based on calculation and thickness of tendons. After verifying elongation tendons are permitted by RTO for grouting.
  • Grouting is carried out after flushing of air in grouting tubes.
  • Coring hacking, Slab cutting, manual hacking and trimming
  • Coring for M&E and Archie opening is marked and cored
  • Cutting of temporary slab, hacking of temporary slab, trimming of slab edges are supervised.
  • Temporary King post cutting is supervised
  • Temporary struts removal is monitored and supervised.
  • Hacking of Retaining wall is monitored.
  • Rock Blasting and Rock splitting
  • Supervised more than thirty rock blasting in safe manner.
