Ruth Pereira is a documentary film maker looking for freelance opportunities. Most recently, my documentary on the global debt crisis “Debt Bomb: The Real Debt Crisis” (telecast Oct 2023) won Gold at the World Media Festival in April 2024. Other recent projects include the Gold award-winning “Life Under Siege” (telecast May 2022) about how life is interrupted for millions of people in caught in the Ukraine war, which garnered 1.3 million views on Youtube. And “2 Years On the Frontlines” (telecast 2021) about the struggles faced by healthcare workers on the forefront of the fight against COVID-19.

- Besides ad-hoc documentaries I’m also Supervising Executive Producer for several long-running weekly award-winning programmes, Insight, In Conversation and Money Mind
- In 2017 I led the revamp of Insight, increasing views on CNA’s social platforms by 10 times
- The long running programme which investigates and analyses topical issues that affect Asia, went from a weekly half-hour to a weekly one-hour programme
- In 2023 it was time to revamp Money Mind focusing on personal finance
- That revamp, now a year old, has tripled social views
- These programmes produce content for television and spin-off content for all CNA’s social platforms as well as forums and panels
- I also work regularly with sales teams regularly to pitch and tailor content for sponsors and other clients

- Worked on long-form documentaries, conceptualising series like 'Ground Zero' which turned breaking news into long-form analytical pieces within days of the event
- Also conceptualised and produced the series 'Power and Piety' about the role of religion in politics
- Was also Executive Producer for 'Powerlist Asia' Season 4 and 5 which interviewed influential Asian businesspeople
- Executive Producer for 'Successors' Season 4 and 5 which featured second and third generation scions of business and political families
