• Worked in a team that specialized in lens production under the Research & Development department for clinical trials targeting myopia in children.
• Some of my tasks include hard coating of lenses, optical characterization of lenses, abrasion, adhesion & impact testing of lenses, coating formulation, as well as spin & dip coating of lenses.
• Assisted in ensuring that the equipment around the lab are all on schedule with maintenance by creating a maintenance and calibration schedule on Excel.
• Created an equipment management SOP to ensure that the equipment in the lab are all properly managed from the equipment’s registration step, ensuring that Installation/Operational and Performance Qualification are done to the equipment and on the proper equipment disposal steps.

• Worked in a team that specialized in glove production under the Research & Development department to produce high quality surgical gloves.
• Assisted in chemical inventory to ensure that chemicals are stocked neatly and discard any expired chemicals.
• Did chemical colloidal properties test to recognize each chemicals’ properties and to ensure the chemicals are stable and suitable for dipping.
• Assisted in compounding latex and dipping of gloves moulds to produce surgical gloves.
• Learnt how to use a hydraulic cutter machine to cut the glove samples into dumbbell shapes
• Learnt how to use the Instron tensile machine to perform tensile tests on the glove samples to ensure that the gloves have met their strength specifications before they are able to be sent out for consumer use.
