Talent Manager

I joined the company as a producer and in September 2019, I was given the opportunity to launch our exclusive talent division. I balanced dual roles as both a producer and in talent account servicing until November 2020. At that time, I transitioned to focus solely on talent management. To date, I have managed over 30 artists and content creators. Initially, I managed our internal creative cast, including Xiaoming, Annette and Chiou in 2021, I signed our first exclusive full-time talent, Shawn Thia. Now, I lead a team of three talent managers and oversee 11 full-time exclusive talents.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing and mentoring HEPMIL talents - taking into accounts the specific talents’ growth and aspirations
  • Gatekeeping and ensuring talents remain professional on both social media and client-facing activities
  • Key coordinator between Talents and Accounts Team on campaigns enquiries and project management
  • Collaborate with Creator Development Team, Creatives and Talents to grow organic content performance
  • Relationship building with talents by accompanying them on events, media events and any other social gigs.

Pre-Production Responsibilities:

  • Script Breakdowns: Assisting in the breakdown of scripts to determine the shoot requirements like location, cast, crew, and special equipment needs.
  • Scheduling: Helping to develop and manage the shooting schedule, ensuring that time is allocated efficiently and deadlines are met.

Production Responsibilities:

  • Coordination on Set: Acting as a key communicator between the director, cast, and crew, ensuring all parties are informed of daily schedules and any changes.
  • Supervising Crew: Overseeing various departments to ensure that they are prepared and have what they need (e.g., costumes, props).
  • Monitoring the Shoot: Keeping an eye on the progress of the shoot, monitoring the budget, and making sure that the production adheres to schedules.
  • Problem Solving: Addressing any issues that arise on set quickly and efficiently to avoid delays.

Post-Production Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of Post-Production: Working closely with the editing team, sound engineers, and other post-production staff to ensure a smooth transition from production.
  • Feedback on Edits: Assisting with reviewing cuts and providing feedback, and sometimes coordinating feedback from other stakeholders like producers and directors.
  • Finalizing Details: Helping to finalize the production details including sound mixing, visual effects, and color grading.
