IN-SERVICE INSPECTION SUMMARY

  • 1) Role & Responsibilities – Marine, Berth & Subsea Areas
  • Conduct off-stream and on-stream RBI-inspection on the off-shore top side facilities and plant stationary equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, drums, tanks, PSVs and piping systems according to Company established policies and procedures and issues inspection reports.
  • Conduct welding Inspection (Internal and external) for primary and secondary structure repair works.
  • Inspects plant stationary equipment by entering into vessels, during shutdowns, to check condition of equipment. Includes observations on cracks, pits, thinning and any other pattern of erosion, corrosion and other interior failure.
  • Checks condition of safety relief valves, and report findings to supervisor. Witnesses pressure setting before and after repair and during any re-calibration campaign, as assigned. Prepares report, schedules testing frequency as per policy, enters inspection data in TruQc, computerized system, raises recommendation based on valve condition and follow up.
  • Witness hydrostatic tests and pneumatic tests on pressure equipment, and pipelines as per Company policy.
  • Inspects maintenance and capital project works being carried out in the plant, to ensure that specified maintenance practices and procedures are followed for welding, installation and fabrication as per policy and in compliance with international fabrication codes and standard.
  • Supervises and co-ordinates the NDT team whenever required.
  • Ensures proper maintenance of inspection reports and records. Maintains various records in the computerized systems, updating inspection test results and other data in specialized inspection software system (Credo, TruQc, and Pestra).
  • 2) Role & Responsibilities – Static Equipment
  • Familiar in reading equipment strategy and able to understand risk categorization assigned for piping circuit or an equipment.
  • Daily Dealing with Piping in-service inspection items like, external Atmospheric corrosion, CUI (Corrosion under insulation), CAPS (corrosion at pipe supports), dead legs, mix points, Injection points, injection quills, and other damaged mechanisms involved in the oil and gas refineries.
  • Involved in in-service inspection activities.
  • Dealing with Inspection of Pressured Equipment’s Such as heat Exchangers, Air fin exchangers: Pre, Post & Hydrotest Inspections
  • External Visual Inspection, inspection during and after Bundle pulling, tube bundle inspection, shell internal inspection, after hydro jetting follow up for any NDE like IRIS/RFET (if applicable), hydro test witness, total flange assurance and final documentation.
  • Columns, Towers: Pre, Post, Tray Assembly, Collectors & Distributor Inspection.
  • External visual inspection, internal Tray condition, new tray installation witness, checking the orientation of trays, Random checking the torque value of bolt nuts, Chimney weld visual, PT & Leak test, new nozzle installation, hydro test witness, Total flange Assurance and final documentation.
  • Drums, Vessels: Pre, Post & Demister Pad Inspection
  • External visual inspection, internal cleaning witness, Demister Visual Inspection, Shell Internal Inspection, hydro testing witness, Total flange assurance and final documentation.
  • Heaters, Boilers: Pre, Post, Burner & Lining Inspection

  • Performing structural & pipeline Inspection during fabrication & assembly and ensuring that built as per drawing and meet the requirements of standard. Involved various Project such as Aromatics, Slop Oil, and Mogas & ADO.
  • Performing in service External Visual inspection & Risk Based Inspection for Pipelines to do Risk Assessment & Find Out the Relevant damage Mechanism as per Code & Standard.
  • Performing fireproof inspection (Corrosion Under Fireproof) On Tank Column & Pipe Rack as Per Standard.
  • Perform visual Inspection for Underground pipelines to do risk Ass & Mitigation.
  • Planning repair Work, Partial Renew, Patch back on structure, fender, pipe as per Repair Procedure.
  • Performing inspection for locating hot spot of pipeline and valves for high temperature embrittlement failure of stainless steel (ferritic) & graphitization of carbon steels.
  • Performing visual inspection & CUI inspection for Pipelines and valves at CML.
  • Witnessing UT corrosion mapping & thickness verification at TML and submit report to plant Engineer.
  • Performing visual inspection of insulation for damages and note down the susceptible location for corrosion under insulation (CUI)
  • Performing line check prior to hydrotest and punch list preparation. Performing material verification for pipe, plate, I beam, flange, Elbow and verifying the mill certificate and DNV3.1 or3.2 certificate.
  • Performing the inspection for joint configuration as per WPS & drawings, calibration certification for equipment’s, welding consumable (storage & requirements), welder qualification, condition of base metal & consumable preheating before welding
  • Preheating before welding.
  • Witnessing and verifying the NDT activities such as RT, UT & PAUT, MPI, PT, DFT & Holiday test as per ITP
  • Radiographic Film interpretation for weld joints as per code as per ASME B31.3 and SEC V & VIII & review the Profile radiography to find internal corrosion on pipelines.
  • Witnessing and monitoring PWHT, HYDRO TEST, and LEAK TESTING (VACCUM BOX) as per procedure & specification.
  • Reviewing PWHT Charts, Witnessing of Hardness Test & PMI.
  • Preparation and verifying the final inspection report of structure and piping and submit to report to Engineer with all relevant documents on time.

SINGAPORE INSPECTION WORK EXPERIENCE USING BY ROPE ACCESS
