Independently managed a 3-year Tengah HDB project from commencement to final account, which became a key milestone in my professional development. Played a critical role in variation works by adopting an engineering-oriented approach—analyzing construction sequences, key activities, and technical challenges to build strong and well-substantiated claims, thereby maximizing the company’s commercial interests.
Identified gaps and ambiguities in the main contractor’s Schedule of Rates (SOR), and successfully negotiated improved rates—recovering approximately half of the unit rate for over 30,000 drilling and rebar installation points. Leveraged procurement experience and market knowledge to justify higher rates for other items, resulting in favorable commercial outcomes for the project.
