3 Years 9 Months- Delivered specialized mathematics instruction to students with hearing impairments using American Sign Language (ASL), translating complex concepts into visual frameworks while managing diverse learning needs such as ADHD.

Student Research Assistant
3 Months- Investigated automated fovea localization from Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) images, addressing the limitations of time-consuming and observer-dependent manual localization.
- Implemented and trained a U-Net deep learning architecture using superficial retinal layer images, applying an 80:10:10 training/validation/testing split and five-fold cross-validation.
- Developed a computational workflow in Python, including manual fovea annotation, generation of 1-mm circular masks, image preprocessing and preparation of retinal imaging data for model training.
