• Actinobacteria are mainly found in soil, water, and other natural habitats
• This study aims to identify and screen actinomycete's with strong antibacterial capabilities from a variety of soil samples that were collected in Singapore and India
• Various tests such as catalase, oxidase, nitrate, antimicrobial activity and morphological features used to characterise the actinobacteria
• The soil samples are collected from 5 different places of Singapore and India soil were used
• Learned about some theoretical knowledge about cell culturing and its procedure
