- I was part of the SOM ( Sample Order Management) department. We handle customer orders for oils in the company.
- I did different roles through my time at Symrise including, packing of final goods and raw materials, underdosing, subs and dilutions and main formulation.
- For packing of the final goos, we would pack the oil samples according to customers request in the amount and item.
- I was also tasked with doing inventory management for the old and new remaining oils as well as raw materials. Sorting them according to the number of the product in ascending order.
- I did main formulation which is compounding of powders and raw material ranging from sticky to viscous consistence.
- I had to be accurate with all my measurements as an extra gram more may change the composition of the product.
- I followed all formulations down to the zero for most accurate measurement when dosing.
- Trained new interns to perform the different task according to the company procedure.
- Tasked with clearing expired goods and raw materials and replacing them with fresh new ones.

- I was tasking with doing quality control checks on the oils that were being sent to the lab.
- I ran the test required for that specific products for chemical and physical properties.
- Promoted timely completion of tasks by testing different samples at the same time with labeling.
- Storing extra samples properly according to date and year for future references.
- Prepared solution (D-80, a 25ppm cobalt solution) to use for laboratory testing in the ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma)
- Prepared the sample for testing for the ICP adding in acidic acid and potassium hydroxide.
- Tasked with preparing a small batch of improved sample formula from scratch using raw materials and a measuring scale to test if the specification are within the acceptable range.
- Stored all documented analysis in folders according to respective dates.
