Summary

Empathetic Senior Physiotherapist with 9 years of experience coordinating and delivering effective inpatient and outpatient services (Day rehab centre). Skilled in developing and administering high-quality services by identifying and implementing best practice operational procedures. Demonstrates treatment intervention and ongoing reassessment through sound clinical reasoning. Despite being specialised in Orthopedic discipline in Physiotherapy, I have also been exposed to other disciplines such as General Medicine, Sports, ITLC and polyclinic setting. I have also taken a few SIT students under my supervision during their 6 weeks clinical placement and at the moment supervising one staff under AHPC probation (L1).


Apart from clinical aspect, I am also involved in other administrative work and projects, be it within or outside of the department level. Currently representing JCH physiotherapy department in a workgroup to come up with a patient centred model for the institution to adopt while delivering our clinical services to patients. Have also been offered to attend an overseas HMDP course which is still under planning.

Senior Physiotherapist

  • Deliver physiotherapy service on an average of 14 patients per day, mainly Orthopedic cases based on individualized treatment plans
  • Co-lead Orthopedic team in ensuring unity and constant guidance to junior physiotherapist
  • Provide supervision to both newly joined physiotherapy staff under probation, as well as students from Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) during their 6 weeks clinical placement
  • Deliver 30 minute inservice presentation every 1-2 rotations to the department to share and expand knowledge on the current evidence based practise adopted by therapist in the current time
  • Plan and schedule for Therapy Associates to head over to Devan Nair Institute to provide trainings to SMRT staff regarding techniques in assisting commuters with disability/physical impairment with correct usage of walking aid prescription
  • Create monthly updates powerpoint slides for the department to be presented during rehab department meetings every month
  • Allocate and keep track of locker usage among therapist, therapy associate/assistants, locums and physiotherapy students when they are rotated into the department
  • Work hand in hand with the nurses in delegating fair and sufficient space to each department when using the common pantry at the staff rest room and taking individual responsibilities to keep it tidy
  • Represent JCH physiotherapy department in the patient centred workgroup led by the Medical Director and Senior Consultant of NTFGH with the aim to come up with a patient centred model we can follow after
