I'm currently an SEN 2 doing bedside nursing care in oncology ward such as;

• Sponging/showering patients
• Feeding patients orally/ tubings
• Taking parameters/blood glucose monitoring
• Prepare last office
• Make up bed and change bed linen
• Perform oral toilet
• Transfer patient in/out of bed
• Give/remove commode, bedpans and urinals for patients
• Assist in cold compress/tepid sponging

• Assist in observing and reporting patient condition to the nurse in charge
• Answer call bells and give assistance to patients
• Accompany patients identified at high risks for falls, confused

• Setting up of consultation room at the beginning of the day before Doctors arrive
• Assisting doctors to chaperone female patients
• Assisting other department (ie Breast, Vascular, General Surgery, Urology, Neurology, Colorectal and Pain Clinic) in various duties.
