- Development of regulations and standards as well as conducting research on key developments in flight operations to ensure that our regulations are kept up to date and relevant for our safety oversight functions
- Inspection, approval and surveillance of local and foreign Approved Training Organizations (ATO) and Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTD) to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements
- Approval and surveillance of local and foreign air operators to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements
- Conducting investigations into aircraft incidents and accidents
- Supervise and facilitate examinations and licensing of flight crews, flight dispatchers and cabin crews
