- I am also the deputy C&I Sector Industry Banker for the construction and building materials industry. As the deputy C&I Industry Banker for Commercial Banking, my responsibilities are to i) provide no objection clearance for all New-to-Bank C&I names ii) formulate the Project and Contract Financing Policy for the segment iii) provide evaluation and credit support (new and increase) for credit proposals within the C&I space iv) lead, develop, rollout and provide an update to credit and senior management on the stress test for the construction sector due to Covid and v) represent commercial banking in the steering committee for coordination supply-chain programs for mega infrastructure projects.
- Current portfolio includes industry leaders (both local and foreign-incorporated) with a total asset base of S$860m and liability base of S$440m.
- Responsible for the loans, cash, trade, treasury, factoring and Banca requirements for the portfolio and cross-sell digital solutions such as online banking and DOXA which is an e-invoicing solution for the construction industry.
Team Leader (First Vice President)
3 Years 11 Months- Led and managed a team of RMs to acquire, grow and develop relationships with industry leaders of more than $1bn asset base in the construction industry through active engagements to up-sell and cross-sell banking products and services. This includes loans, cash, trade, treasury, factoring, Banca and digital solutions.
- Spearheaded and led a $100m loan syndication with 2 other FIs to finance a project for an industry leader in the market.
- Appointed as the Commercial Banking agile member to work with Sector Solutions Group under the Bank’s APEX initiative where we set up Agile Teams to come up with product solutions and financing structures for the Construction Industry. This includes coming up with the framework for project-based financing, value-chain financing and green-finance initiatives such as energy efficiency financing.
