- Maintains open communication with HOD, Operation ICs and other team members to ensure optimal operation and follow-up.
- Verify reports within the expected turn-around-time and clear daily departmental pending work logs.
- Troubleshoot minor errors generated from machines, namely BRAVE+ and RAVE, as well as major errors with/without assistance from engineers.
- Comply to all applicable safety regulations in the Laboratory.
- Ensure work area remains clean and tidy after use.
- Adhere to Laboratory policy and established SOPs for registration of patient samples, identification, test procedures, reporting, result retrieval and record/specimen keeping.
- Maintain inventory according to lean inventory management practices.
- Review all daily QC results and discuss any problem with department staff.
- Provide orientation, demonstrate laboratory procedures and perform subsequent competency assessment for new trainees and staff.
- Check the performance of all instruments and equipment in the Laboratory regularly and report any equipment not functioning properly.
- Participate in developmental work on new tests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
