  • Solve industrial and research problems in the area of materials and additive manufacturing (AM)
  • Pre-empted emerging industry challenges to identify project opportunities and scoped numerous projects to tackle problem statements coming from industries. Technical lead and managed industrial projects with MNCs, International and SMEs.
  • Spearheaded in-house project for capability development where achieved capabilities facilitated company to acquire new projects and bolstering innovation effort in the institute
  • Managed multiple conccurent projects and supervised cross-functional and inter-RI technical team for project execution in direct project, gap funded project, industry alignment funded projects.

  • Collaborated with Future Cities Laboratory (FCL) Singapore-ETH Centre to produce customised and innovative solutions (Coating, Chemical & Mechanical) for maximizing bonding between sustainable bamboo composite and concrete: resposible for experimental design, data recording, analysis, technical updates and report writing.
  • Led a study on the degradation of bamboo composite under different environmental conditions.
  • Created solutions and finding were used as basis to supplement future development and commercialisation of the bamboo composite.

Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N)

  • Project collaboration between ERI@N and Vestas Wind System A/S, Demark: improving performance of GFRP composite materials suitable for wind turbine blades
  • Fabricate and design of GFRP panels with variety of ply-drops designs using resin infusion technique (SCRIMP) to reduce the effect of stress concentration that can be detrimental to the lifespan of the wind turbine.
