As a Digital Ambassador, I was tasked with helping customers with their queries, ranging from billing issues to their current data packages. Together with the other part timers, we would assist any customer that would enter the shop, even if they would ask a simple question regarding the products or packages we offer.
I would regularly upsell our products, inquiring on the customers' needs and whether they would benefit from a change in their current data plan or broadband renewal. Even as DAs, we contribute to the sales of the shop by selling sim only and prepaid cards to our customers.
However, I had other responsibilities that the other part timers didn't . At times, I would take stock of our inventory and ensure we have enough models of each electronic device. It's crucial to have sufficient units, especially during the months where major phone brands such as Samsung and Apple would debut their newest models on the market.
I was given the opportunity to shadow my mentor, who was a salesperson. I would help close deals that he would make with customers, and I learnt about the systems M1 used to facilitate their business with customers.
