- Provide support to the Process Unit Leader(PUL) in process analysis, troubleshooting plant upsets and optimization of plan operations.
- Reviewing operations logbooks, reviewing DCS trends, controls and also analytical results to identify potential issues and executing corrective strategies with minimal costs.
- To raise work notifications/requests to report equipment faults and to give the daily and night order to trigger equipment preparation for maintenance as per schedule
- To provide quarterly training initiatives/tools in equipment monitoring, console operations along with quarterly audits to verify consistent competency in shift teams.
- Successfully worked with Technical teams and vendors on to optimize the use of chemical dosing to our boilers and to invest in actual flow meters to increase accuracy in the dosing. This led to a substantial amount of savings in operations.
- Conduct optimization meetings within the different departments to establish savings for profitability in a timely manner.
- Draft/review procedures with technical teams before shutdown/startup of process
- To coordinate with maintenance team on the shutting down and transitioning phase to avoid unnecessary losses and a safe mechanical period.
- To decommission line and prepare for mothball setup with permanent blinds.
- To design a non-routine/abnormal situations procedures and mitigations (e.g: single pump operations that could lead to financial loss and etc.)
- Successfully streamlined more than 10 different lubricants to only 3 lubricants to its similar viscosity, within temperature range and compatibility to reduce unnecessary costs and to make inventory checks much efficient and effective.
- Successfully reduce the headcount and the frequency for general workers to perform housekeeping by committing the shift teams to perform housekeeping on 1 weekday by reducing and work permits that require operation support. This led to a huge savings on the use of contractors and to remain cost-efficient throughout the year.
- Perform audits and verification of the knowledge transfer to operations in surveillance rounds of major machines and rotating equipments and generate reports on the gaps. To set up training plans and training materials to address such gaps.

- Elected as the Digital Ambassador to spearhead the digitalisation of the Jobpacks, work method statements and gas test logs for more efficient Permit-to-Work system.
- Perform shutting down of furnaces for re-tubing jobs, perform steam drum inspection, PRV pop test and performing the hydrotest as per the MOM compliance.
