Configure monitoring cards (SNMP, Modbus, or BACnet) to ensure the UPS communicates properly with the Building Management System (BMS) or Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software.

Summary

I have always been fascinated by Singapore’s skyline not just for its architectural marvels, but for how deeply our built environment impacts human well-being and national sustainability. This inspiration drove me to graduate from Republic Polytechnic’s School of Engineering with a Diploma in Green Building, and it continues to fuel my daily work in the Building Management System (BMS) space today. My journey into sustainable engineering started early. During my three years in Poly, I gained invaluable, hands-on industry exposure as an Assistant Engineer Intern at Cleantech Solar, where I grew to appreciate the massive potential of renewable energy and efficient infrastructure. Today, I bridge the gap between building automation and human-centric wellness. I love exploring how smart technology can make indoor spaces more dynamic, healthy, and responsive to the people inside them. Core Areas of Expertise & Interest: Building Management Systems (BMS): Overseeing and optimizing day-to-day building operations to ensure maximum efficiency. IoT & Smart Automation: Prototyping hardware and software solutions using Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Environmental Sensor Integration: Implementing multi-sensor arrays (monitoring speed, temperature, airflow, water, and pressure) to track space health. Energy-Efficient HVAC Controls: Designing responsive systems that optimize heating and cooling based on real-time occupancy. Highlighted Project: Workplace Wellness via IoT Driven by the goal of improving workplace wellness, I designed and built an automated climate optimization system. Using Arduino and Raspberry Pi, I integrated a suite of environmental sensors alongside a custom-built human motion detection sensor. The system dynamically tracks human movement to automatically rectify and adjust atmospheric cooling and heating—proving that we can drastically cut energy waste while maximizing thermal comfort. The Future I’m Building Toward: I am deeply curious about the next frontier of futuristic safety, security, and home wellness. Technology is evolving rapidly, and I want to be at the forefront of adapting these advancements to elevate how we live, work, and thrive.
