Application of Novel Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents for Protein Extraction
Developed novel natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) by optimizing component selection, molar ratios, and synthesis conditions, confirmed through Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).
Applied NADES for protein extraction from microalgae using a heat-assisted stirring method, followed by centrifugation and UV-Vis spectrophotometry to quantify extraction efficiency.
Gained hands-on experience in analytical techniques and experimental design, including solvent synthesis, spectroscopy (FTIR, UV-Vis), protein quantification (Bradford assay), and data interpretation for process optimization.
