1998 – 2001

Appointment: Coxswain, RSS Dauntless (Anti-Submarine Patrol Vessel)

Responsible for shipboard administration and manpower management. Enforced discipline standards, oversaw logistics support, and coordinated training to maintain unit readiness and operational effectiveness.

2001 - 2007

Appointment: Senior Instructor (Institute of Naval Technology and Operation)

Conducted professional military training and instruction for young sailors. Developed and delivered course materials, mentored learners, and ensured training standards, safety, and operational readiness were upheld.

2007 – 2013

Appointment: Coxswain, RSS Resolution (Landing Ship Tank)

Responsible for shipboard administration, discipline, and manpower management. Conducted joint manpower planning and execution with the Singapore Army and Air Force to support amphibious and joint operations.

2008

Operation: Operation Blue Orchid (Post-Conflict Reconstruction, Iraq)

Deployed for 4 months in support of multinational reconstruction efforts in post-war Iraq.

2010

Operation: Operation Blue Sapphire (Maritime Counter-Piracy Operations, Gulf of Aden)

Deployed for 4 months as part of a maritime counter-piracy task group to safeguard sea lines of communication.

2013 – 2022

Appointment: Master Chief (3rd Flotilla)

Overall responsibility for manpower management, discipline, welfare, and professional development of Active, NSF and NSmen. Served as Flotilla Manpower Officer (S1) during local and overseas exercises with Army and Air force, overseeing personnel accountability, discipline, well-being and safety, reporting directly to the Commander Task Force.

2022 – Present

Appointment: Officer Commanding, (Naval Military Expert Institute)

Command and oversight of foundational naval training for young sailors, transforming recruits into operationally ready personnel. Led leadership development programme for Intermediate and Advanced Supervisor Courses to prepare personnel for shipboard leadership roles. Planned and executed training exercises and sea expeditions to validate operational readiness.
