NATURE OF WORK

  • Installation of CCTV system, ACDIS, bilge alarm, fire & gas alarm, DP system etc.
  • Modifications, repairing, wiring, testing and commissioning of power/ distribution board.
  • Termination of power cables and their testing and commissioning.
  • Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of lighting fixtures in various areas of production, Including installation in hazardous areas.
  • Laying power cables, repairing temporary power boards, supply and installation of temporary lights, time schedule and material utilized.
  • Supply and installation for panel boards such as energy meter, voltmeter, ammeter, CT, selector switches for ammeter and voltmeter, indicating bulbs, holders and fuse switches.
  • Install, modify, repair and test fire alarm system, CO2 and sprinkle system, smoke detectors, fire alarm bell, flasher and fire alarm panel according to drawing.
  • Cable glands and copper crimping lugs.
  • All fasteners, supports and other hardware such as bolt & nuts, screws and nylon sleeves.
  • Cable markers for cable laid in ground, ferrules and PVC binding strips, 2.5 sq. mm single core standard copper conductors PVC cable for internal wiring of the panel boards, terminal connectors etc.
  • All consumable material such as insulation tape, PVC sleeve, lead paste, inhibiting compound, welding rods used for work.
  • Copper plate, GI pipe, salt, copper flat, bolt & nuts, tinning materials, cements sand for earth pits.
  • All erection tools, tackles, protective equipment, handling accessories such as strings, jacks, pull lifts, crimping tools, ladders and scaffolding materials that are required for installation work are thoroughly checked before using it.
  • Assemble tools and supplies to be used at the worksite according to instructions.
  • Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit, using ruler, wire cutter and strippers.
  • Dismantle defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts and reassemble equipment.
  • Study and interpret manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications using hand tools, power tools and electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Connect power supply wiring to machines and equipment and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams and blueprints using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunction apparatus such as and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replace damage or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches and positions sensing using hand tools.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit board, using electronic test equipment and hand tools.
  • Repair, overhaul, troubleshooting of generator, motor in workshop and vessel in order to chemical cleaning, hot water high pressure cleaning, replace bearing. Rotor, stator for visual inspection and put into the oven for heating and apply suitable insulation varnish and reassemble. All above is done using an electronic insulation tester, bearing puller, induction heater, voltmeter, and ampere meter.

TESTING EQUIPMENTS AND SECURED ARE AS FOLLOW

  • Visual inspection test for all parts and dielectric and earth loop test.
  • Check the electric continuity of the control and protection circuits using digital multimeters.
  • Over current and earth fault relays are connected to correct values. After setting, the relays are sealed to prevent unauthorized setting.
  • Test to check whether indicator lights switches for the ammeter and voltmeter are connected correctly and test to check whether KWH meters are rotating in the proper direction.
  • Operation test to check whether the protection relays are operating properly and phase rotation test. After completion of the above tests, the distribution panel board and cable is checked for phase sequence and energized. All the light fittings are switched on for a period of 24hrs to observe the performance. Furthermore, I have successfully completed over 300 repair vessels like American and British Naval Ship RFA Bay leaf, USNS McDonald, Pacific Ocean, APL Balboa, Kay (Passenger ship) etc. Successfully completed other petro barge project such as JT Angel, Murmanskaya, Safe Astoria and Safe Bristolia. Petro barge project “Frontier Phoenix”, Frontier Bully I, and Frontier Bully II, Currently, I am working for vessel SKD ALLIANCE
