As a ground staff attached to Scoot PTE LTD, I had the opportunity to meet many nationalities. On the job, I had to be vigilant as I work in a high security environment. I also had to adapt to the fast paced environment and think of solutions when a problem arise. Part of my job scope includes but not limited to handling service recovery, checking in passengers, crowd management, travel documents checks, attending to passengers with special assistance and handling departure flights. While working here, I had to converse in Bahasa and mandarin. Most of my time is spent in the departure transit area (gate staff). I have also progressed from doing narrow body aircraft to wide body aircraft. I have also taken up many roles starting from ; gate controller, gate runner & gate in-charge. Recently I’ve taken up more gate in- charge roles for both narrow & wide body passenger jets. I strive to ensure the flights departs early or on time with the highest standard of safety in mind.
