Accomplishments

  • Founder and Incorporator of a National Organization for Disabled Persons called the Kapisanan ng Maykapansanan sa Pilipinas, Inc. (KAMPI), now an affiliate of the Disabled People International. A world organization of disabled person recognized NGO consultant on disability affairs by the United Nations
  • Member of the Technical Working Group Social Services Committee House of Representatives that drafted the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons, which was enacted into Law in March 1992 as Republic Act No. 7277 and its amendments.
  • Lead in the implementation of the accessibility law that increase compliance on the provision of accessible facilities like ramps and toilets of buildings and malls.
  • Lobby for the inclusion of PWDs in 4Ps and National Household Targeting System of DSWD
  • Lobby for the inclusion of PWDs in Philhealth RA 11228 in addition to the Universal Health Care Law.
  • Lobby for the increase implementation of the 20% discount resulting to the amendment of RA 9442 thus enacting RA 10754.
  • Coordinate with DILG during pandemic to prioritise PWDs in the food and medicine distribution.
